armour question: Yak's Bend vs Ascalon
So a lot of the threads here say that the first place to get "good" armour is at Yak's Bend. However the armoursmith there only offers the same 50 defense armour that you can find in Ascalon City (which has the 35 and 50). Am I missing something?

IF you look closley at the armorer in Yaks, you will see yet another option for an even BETTER set of armor than the 2 you can buy at Ascalon. Of course, they have the regular 2 sets at Yak's as well.
At least it was that way for my Monk's clothes. Jana |

Hmmmm. I looked very closely and I didn't see a third armour type. I didn't see the "35" armour either. I only saw one type of armour at Yak's Bend, the "50". Or is there another armourer I missed?

No what he was saying is that in AC you have 2 armour vendors (1 offers 35AL the other 50AL). Now as for Yak's armour vendor.......I don't see any difference with what I find in AC. I'm not sure if your level or progress has anything to do with this but when I first crossed over, some of the helms that offer stat bonuses weren't there like they are now.
